coralcom – Premiership tips for the weekend

Posted by admin @ 12:00 AM, Monday Dec 29th, 2008

coralcom – With the championship now looking more and more like a three horse race (Chelsea, Liverpool and Man-Utd) due to Arsenal’s poor form this weekend’s fixtures could not be any more crucial for the teams battling it out both at the top and the bottom where the gap between bottom placed team West Brom and Man City in 12th position is just 3 points.

The game of the day is surely at Villa Park where in form Aston Villa host Manchester United and if I had to guess I would put this down as a score draw with 1-1 looking favourite. Chelsea host Newcastle and with the form of Nicolas Anelka I can only see one winner here with Chelsea looking way to strong for Newcastle and I would go for Chelsea winning by at least 2 goals.

Liverpool with their home fans behind them will overcome a spirited Fulham side surely and for me will win at a canter 2 maybe 3-0. Arsenal look to get their season back on track away at Man-City who them self look out of ideas and because of this I have this as a nailed on draw.
Hull who are now finding out how hard this league can be face a tricky trip to the south Coast to play Portsmouth and Pompey’s tight ground could be enough to see the home side through by the odd goal 1-0, 2-1.

The other two games played on Saturday look to close to call and I will sit on the fence and say draws will be the final outcome in the games involving Middlesbrough V Bolton and Stoke City V West Brom.

Coral.co.uk Advertisment

Posted by admin @ 12:00 AM, Thursday Dec 18th, 2008

This advert was taken from Britains biggest selling newspaper and because it is clearly aimed at men, it was in the key section where men would read…..the sports section. Although it is in mono it still makes full use of the advert and gets any messages across that it wants to.

They start the advert with a fantastic offer, the kind of offer that makes you realise why the Coral are so big, and that is if you bet £10 you get a FREE £20 bet which is fantastic. This advert is mainly aimed at football fans and are running a special offer for the two main matches that night by giving you the odds on a double win for the two favourites and also a breakdown on all the different possible scorelines and what odds you can get if you log onto www.coral.co.uk or call thr number towards the bottom of the advert. They also mention that you can get the early prices for racing meetings which is probably the biggest sport that people bet on in Britain today. The advert is finally made up of the legal jargon that is necessary in these sort of adverts

ME Bet

This advert was pulled out of the free newspaper the Metro which is a very popular newspaper. It is a long strip advert taken from the sports section and is not promoting a specific sport or competiton, it is a general advert promoting their website and what sort of things they do. The MEBET logo is similiar to the newspaper logo so it gives you the idea that is linked to the newspaper itself which gives the reader the piece of mind that it isnt a cowboy site. A huge part of the advert is made up of ‘The biggest range of sports bet’, this is great because it grabs the attention of ALL sports fans so its not just a small audience they’re appealing to. They then list a few different sports that they do cover but the main thing they are trying to push is the bit that is highlighted at the bottom of the advert and that is the Free Bet Offer. It is similiar to what most of these sites offer and that is if you bet up to £25 they will give you a FREE bet for double the value. Finally a recognised Blue Square logo is used which is a fantastic way to advertise for both of them.
